Matt Redman |

Now if we had to pick the flashy-est, most cutting-edge rock-star worship leader of all time, Matt Redman probably would not be our pick. However, Redman brings to the table a unique ability to point you toward God in style and in lyrics in a way that few other do. Redman writes worship songs that seem to cut through pretense and and sets the tone for purity of heart. He is known for such worship classics as Heart of Worship, Blessed Be Your Name, Let Everything that has Breath, Once Again, and others.

Here are a few of our favorite worship bands that are helping to pave the way for Life Church worship.
Chris Tomlin is one of today's premier worship song writers. We like him because he writes songs that make it easy to worship. His songs are easy to follow and his melodies are engaging. On the national level, he has recently been nominated for nine Dove awards including Album of the year, artist and male vocalist of the year, and two nominations for song of the year for "Holy is the Lord", and "How Great is Our God". Closely associated with the Passion/One Day movement, Tomlin is now producing albums with sixstepsrecords including Noise We Make, Not to US, and Arriving. You can preview his music on his website. Check it out.

We sure like David Crowder and his band too--probably because he is so unique in his style, and yet never loses a sense of worship. In fact most of his songs are written with a very God-centered worshipful perspective.

Delirious |

Okay if there is one band that has led the revolution of today's contemporary christian music, we're putting our vote in for Delirious. Of all the guys you see on this page, Delirious has been a major influence to them all.
Long before their music hit the States Delirious was making their mark on their own soil as a youth band in England. Their first release here with Sparrow Records in 1997 called Cutting Edge, exploded both here in America and in Europe, and they have not slowed down since.
